ROLAND SYSTEMS GROUP RSS V-MIXING SYSTEM
January 2009—Roland Systems Group's (www.rolandsystemsgroup.com) RSS V-Mixing System — which incorporates the RSS M-400 live digital console, configurable digital snakes, remote-control mic preamps/stage boxes and multitrack recording — has been enhanced with new V. 1.5 software. In response to user suggestions, the free upgrade adds numerous features, including more flexibility in compressor and gate assignments, direct output assignment capabilities for interfacing with personal mix systems and recording splits, tap tempo delay settings, the addition of eight matrices, and a variety of user-interface shortcuts for accelerated workflow and improved ease of use.
ROLAND M-1000
April 2003—The M-1000 10-channel Digital Line Mixer is a single-rackspace console designed to mix digital signals of varying sample rates. The M-1000 comes with four stereo S/PDIF digital inputs and a stereo analog input—all with 24-bit/96kHz sound quality—making it perfect for mixing electronic musical instruments and recording gear equipped with digital outputs. The M-1000 can even mix audio from a PC via its USB port. Word clock is also provided, and multiple units can be linked for greater mixing power. Retail: $695.
ROLAND VM-7000
July 1999—The VM-7000 Series V-Mixing System features up to 94 input channels, 40 XLR/line inputs with 24-bit A/Ds and phantom power, 24 Fader Groups, support for surround sound mixing, and onboard scene, snapshot and dynamic automation. The series uses a modular design with separate console and processors, so it's no longer necessary to have the console and the I/O interface in the same room, which makes wiring a studio much easier. A system can have one or two consoles and one or two processors. Console/control surface prices range from $2,995 to $3,695, while processor/IO modules range from $1,995 to $2,795.
ROLAND VM-3100

The $1,295 VM-3100Pro also includes eight channels of MDM or other expansion box interface, as well as COSM Speaker Modeling.
