WHEATSTONE E-6 SURFACE
September 2007—New from Wheatstone (www.wheatstone.com) is the E-6 Surface, the E Series Studio Satellite I/O and the E Series Network Switch, which combine to form a cost-effective networked audio system. Each operates independently, yet all sources and mixes can be shared via the network. The E-Surface features event recall, bus-minus, mix-minus and four aux mixes — all with dedicated talkback systems — as well as standard EQ, dynamics, panning and mic processing on all channels. Control surfaces are offered in 16- or 24-channel frames. Also new is the Evolution Series E-5 control surface, a simplified version of the E-6 available in 8/16/24-channel mainframes.

WHEATSTONE D-7
September 2006—Wheatstone's D-7 for live TV and sweetening combines digital audio switching and router-based source call-up with integrated 4-band EQ and expansion/compression available to any input channel from a mouse-driven flat-panel monitor display. Also standard are automatic muting, monitor/talkback support, auto cue dropout, machine start/stop, multiple mix-minus and stereo/mono/5.1 handling.

WHEATSTONE D-5.1
April 2003—Wheatstone’s new D-5.1 live digital television console has dedicated mix-minus and bus-minus IFB feeds to strengthen on-air operations. A 32-fader console generates up to 82 mix-minus feeds without impacting on any other auxiliary or group outputs. The D-5.1 also incorporates many features to enhance efficiency and allow operators to concentrate on the show. Scaleable console-surface sizes and system capacities allow each installation to be customized to its application.

WHEATSTONE D-8000 & D-4000
June 2002—At NAB, Wheatstone covered both bases by launching its new high-end D-8000 console, as well as the more affordable D-4000 that is based on Wheatstone's popular D-5000.
