Founded in 1977, Recording Workshop is a leading creator of intense, short-term training in music recording and audio production. Hundreds of recording engineers, producers and other music professionals honor RECW as the launch pad of their careers. The RECW CORE Program is a 180-hour, 5-week creative learning experience held at our 10-acre Ohio campus. Located on this private retreat are six well-equipped studios, lecture facilities and convenient student housing. Learning how to skillfully track, mix and produce music is the primary goal of the CORE training; however, project assignments in sound-for-picture are also part of the curriculum. Supplementing the hands-on production work are classroom studies in music business practices and project studio design. The training offered by Recording Workshop has been enjoyed by students from all 50 states and over 30 foreign countries. And compared to other educational choices, the cost of attending RECW is very affordable.
