Dallas Baptist University has one of the most innovative Music Business degree programs in the U.S. The most recent addition, and centerpiece, to the program is the new state-of-the-art recording studio, designed by Russ Berger. The recording studio is located in the newly completed Joan and Andy Horner Hall on the main Dallas Baptist University campus. The 12,000-square-foot, $5 million multipurpose academic building houses the disciplines of Music Business, Communication Theory, Broadcast Communication and Graphic Design Communication, as well as the College of Fine Arts academic leadership. The studio features a control room and recording space with isolation booth, plus two production rooms, all connected to the large soundstage at the center of the complex. The second floor’s Mac Lab, equipped with the latest Pro Tools technology, will help prepare current and future Music Business students by providing real-world experience on the most modern equipment currently available.
