APB-DYNASONICS PRORACK MIXERS
November 2007—The ProRack mixers from APB-Dynasonics (www.apb-dynasonics.com) are compact, 10-rackspace designs that, like the company’s Spectra Series, offer minimum phase-shift circuitry, expressive EQ and high-performance preamps. The ProRack House has 12 mono input channels and four dual-mono/stereo input channels (20 mic preamps in total); the Monitor is fitted with 16 mono input channels. All mono and stereo inputs have variable (20-400Hz sweep range) highpass filters; mono channels have fixed HF/LF EQ bands and two sweepable mid-bands. The ProRack House has six (pre/post-fader-switchable) aux sends. The ProRack Monitor can create eight stereo mixes and two mono mixes while adding a passive input-splitter system.
APB-DYNASONICS MIXSWITCH
October 2006—APB-DynaSonics will introduce its first rackmount mixing products at AES San Francisco. MixSwitch provides the ability to easily switch between primary digital or analog and a backup console or between headliner and opening act consoles in concert/presentation situations (in Switch Mode or Sum Mode). In club applications, it allows selection between FOH and DJ mixers into common audio systems. MixSwitch will be available in the 4th quarter of 2006.
APB-DYNASONICS SPECTRA-C, SPECTRA-T
November 2005—APB-Dynasonics is about to begin deliveries of its Spectra-C and Spectra-T analog consoles, available in 24/32/40/48/56 mono input frames, with a 24-input expander offered. Spectras feature input and output VCA control, 4-band EQ, Burr-Brown preamps, 10 aux buses, optional redundant power supplies and more.
APB-DYNASONICS SPECTRA SERIES
May 2005—Founded by industry vets Chuck Augustowski, John Petrucelli and Taz Bhogal, new console manufacturer APB DynaSonics unveiled its Spectra Series analog VCA desks. Designed for touring or fixed installs, the boards include features not often found at this price point, such as Burr-Brown mic pre's, THAT VCAs, a master output VCA (for controlling any combination of four mix outputs and four matrices), built-in hot-swappable redundant power supplies and LCR control room AFL monitoring. One unique touch is the EQ design, with filters an octave wide in boost and a third wide in cut. Deliveries begin Q3, 2005.
