October 2006—Reflecting Cadac's 20+ year history in live sound console design, the S-Digital features a surface architecture derived directly from the industry standard Cadac J-type analog console. With key audio and control parameters accessible in under a button press, the Cadac S-Digital combines instant usability and familiarity with other Cadac hallmarks superb sound, build quality, reliability and unrivalled return on investment. The S-Digital enters production in October, in a 72/64 base configuration.


CADAC S-DIGITAL
September 2006—Coming to this month's PLASA show is Cadac's S-Digital live theater desk. S-Digital's design reflects the surface architecture of Cadac's J-Type analog board, offering a familiar mix environment. More details will come after the show, but production is set to start next month. Also new is Cadac's Digital Series Stage Rack, combining the M16 remote-controlled mic amp and the X16 MADI Merge Unit for comprehensive multichannel audio distribution of analog and digital.


CADAC D16 DIGITAL MIX MATRIX
October 2005—The D16 provides a fully featured, 16x16 audio matrix designed as a stand-alone audio processor (for smaller-scale performances, fixed installations and broadcast/recording applications) or as an expansion mixer for existing consoles. It has 16 line-level analog I/Os, with each channel providing 4-band parametric EQ, high/lowpass filters, compression and gating dynamics control, plus adjustable level routing to 16 output mixes. The system can be controlled locally from the D16 front panel or via Cadac’s SAM software.


CADAC M16 REMOTE-CONTROLLED ANALOG MIC AMP
November 2004—The M16 meets the demand for a high-quality remote microphone amplifier for seamless interoperation with all types of analog and digital consoles and DAWs. Designed for live, broadcast and recording needs, the M16 integrates directly with Cadac's new D16 Digital Mix Matrix, and up to 16 M16 units can be controlled within a single system. Remote control is optional via the RM16 remote or Cadac's SAM software. The M16 is a flexible, high-quality system for every console, offering the classic Cadac sound.


CADAC D16
May 2004—Cadac showed the prototype of its two-box digital mixer solution. The D16 is a 3U chassis providing a 16×16 matrix of 24/96 digital EQ and dynamics controlled from the company's SAM software and is compatible with all of the company's other consoles. The M16 is the companion 16-channel remote-controllable mic pre.


CADAC R-TYPE LIVE PRODUCTION CONSOLE
January 2003—The R-Type Live Production Console from Cadac offers both FOH and monitor mixing facilities—console modules can be located in any slot in the R-Type’s lightweight, monocoque-engineered 24-slot frame, each of which can easily be moved by two people. Cadac’s unique “plug anywhere” modules allow rental companies to easily redesign the console exactly to match each tour’s specification and budget. A typical configuration (using three of the R-Type’s 24-slot frames) provides up to 51 inputs in any combination of mono or stereo, a full output section with 16 DC masters and dedicated LCR and stereo-output modules. Custom R-Type console configurations can handle 200 inputs and beyond. Price for a “fully loaded” R-Type approaches $190,000.


CADAC S-TYPE LIVE CONSOLE
October 2002—Cadac's new entry-level mixing console, the S-Type, combines Cadac quality in a small, cost-effective package, setting a new standard for a compact, high-performance mixer at an affordable cost. USA price is approximately $22,000. Typical specification: 25-way frame, with 16 mono inputs; eight group/matrix/mono aux outputs and DC master faders; and an osc/comm module. With Cadac's unique frame design, any module slots into any position in the frame.
