CROWN XLS AMPS
June 2006—Crown's (www.crownaudio.com) XLS Series power amps include four models from 300W to 800W per channel into 4 ohms. Features include a mono bridge mode switch, balanced XLR inputs, binding post and Speakon outputs, detented level controls and six status LEDs that indicate signal, clip and fault for each channel.

CROWN I-TECH 8000
January 2006—Crown's I-Tech 8000 ($7,685) is a 2-channel amplifier employing patented Class-I (BCA®) circuitry that combines high output power, low AC current drain and a lighter weight package. A regulated power supply delivers full power regardless of mains voltage from 120V to 277V, 50 to 60 Hz. The I-Tech 8000 features AES/EBU digital audio input and employs onboard DSP with 24-bit/96kHz AD/DA converters for a wide array of signal processing. DSP is performed by the latest 32-bit SHARC digital processors from Analog Devices and includes 64 assignable filters with nine different filter types. User-created and factory-designed DSP presets can be accessed via the front panel. A CobraNet digital audio option integrates TCP/IQ and CobraNet digital audio on a single network connection. Capable of delivering 2,100W/channel into 8 ohms/stereo, the I-Tech 8000 is fully compatible with the Harman Pro HiQnet and the Crown TCP/IQ network.

CROWN CM-200A
July 2005—The CM-200A ($389) from Crown is a handheld electret condenser for onstage vocal and instrument use. A multistage internal pop filter reduces wind noise, and the cardioid pattern produces high gain before feedback. An upper-midrange presence peak helps increase articulation. Handling noise is extremely low, and the mic is designed to withstand repeated drops. The CM-200A may be phantom-powered from 12 to 48V, and includes a foam windscreen for outdoor use. The CM-200ASW adds a built-in, silent on/off switch. Frequency response is 80 to 15k Hz with a max. SPL of 15 dB (3% THD) with 48V supply (143 dB SPL w/12V supply); impedance is 200 ohms.

CROWN I-TECH SERIES
November 2004—The I-Tech Series offers amazing power, light weight and ease of use. Onboard DSP features 24-bit, 96kHz AD/DA converters, and all models are compatible with the IQ Network and TCP/IQ™ networking. Digital audio and IQ control signals connect to the amp via a single cable (in CobraNet™-ready models). Pushbutton DSP presets simplify the setup for various loudspeaker arrays. The switching Global Power Supply works anywhere in the world and offers PFC (Power Factor Correction). I-Tech amplifiers have the highest output voltage in the industry (200V peak), which provides clean transient peaks. Retail: IT-4000, $5,000; IT-6000, $6,117; and IT-8000, $7,685.

CROWN SHIPS I-TECH AMPS
July 2004—Crown is now shipping its flagship I-Tech Series stereo amps. These two-rackspace, less-than-28-pound units feature Crown's patented Class-I switching output design and operate from 120 to 277 VAC lines. Crown TCP/IQ interfacing allows IQ control over Ethernet and a front panel LCD provides fast access to setup parameters and diagnostics. AES/EBU digital audio inputs are standard, as are analog XLR inputs; optional CobraNet digital audio inputs are planned. The I-T4000 has 2,000 watts/channel, the I-T6000 has 3,000 W/channel and I-T8000 has 4,000 W/channel — all into a 4-ohm load.

CROWN TCP/IQ MODULES
October 2002—At AES, Crown debuts three new amp modules incorporating the company's new TCP/IQ network communication protocol: the IQ-PIP-Lite, IQ-PIP-USP3 and IQ-PIP-USP3/CN. The functionality of these modules ranges from offering basic amp control and monitoring to providing extensive digital signal processing and CobraNet compatibility. Common to all three products is Crown's widely accepted, real-time speaker load monitoring capability. Each module is compatible with Crown's MA, CT and new CTs Series amps.

CROWN CM-310A
May 2001—Featuring Crown's patented Differoid technology, the CM-310A is a cardioid electret condenser mic with a 60 to 17k Hz response. Retail is $309, and the CM-310ASW model with a built-in magnetic reed On/Off switch is also available.

CROWN IQ-PIP-USP2/CN
May 2001—Crown introduced the IQ-PIP-USP2/CN module, which, when installed in Crown's Com-Tech 10 Series and Macro-Tech 02 Series amps, creates the industry's first CobraNet-compatible amplifier. Onboard processing includes alignment delay and eight filters per channel. It also connects the amp to an IQ System for control and monitoring.
