JBL VT4887A, VT4881A
May 2007—JBL's (www.jblpro.com) VerTec Series has two new compact models. The VT4887A is designed for use in multi-box arrays, as a downfill in arrays with larger VerTec cabinets, or as an extended-range fill speaker. It incorporates JBL’s new 2268J-1 8-inch woofer and has a 55 to 22k Hz response. A companion VT4881A subwoofer uses a single 18-inch Differential Drive® dual voice-coil woofer for response to 34 Hz (-3 dB).
JBL PRX500 SERIES
March 2007—The PRX500 Series from JBL Professsional has five models priced from $1,359 to $1,799, all with 500 to 650 watts of onboard Crown Class-D amplification.
JBL VT4887ADP LINE ARRAY
October 2006—JBL Pro offers compact versions of its VerTec DP Series with JBL DrivePack™ technology. Modular powered line array systems include onboard digital signal processing, developed with Crown. VT4887ADP 2x8" full range line array element and VT4881ADP single-18" subwoofer models are featured. These high-performance integrated loudspeaker systems are optionally available as networked models with DPAN (analog) or DPCN (digital) audio input modules, both compatible with HiQnet System Architect Software™ for remote control and monitoring capabilities.
JBL VERTEC DP SERIES
October 2005—JBL Professional is now offering the networked versions of its VerTec DP Series. These integrated audio systems are compatible with HiQnet System Architect Software, and feature JBL DrivePack technology with remote control and monitoring capabilities. Developed with Crown International, these high-performance power modules with integral digital signal processing couple seamlessly with VerTec loudspeakers, providing a new level of functionality for system users. Products include the VT4888DP-AN, VT4882DP-AN, VT4888DP-CN and VT4882DP-CN. Price: $8,699.
JBL VRX932LA
March 2005—JBL's VRX932LA compact 12-inch, two-way line array is designed for small to mid-size venues with up to six units flown, stacked or tripod/pole-mounted over a companion SRX718S subwoofer.
JBL DSC280 VERSION 4.1
January 2005—Version 4.1 software for JBL Professional's DSC280 Digital Controller offers both Sound Power and Venue Series tunings — two new programs for this 2U signal processor. The DSC280 features two/three/four-way operation, two parametric EQ sections for each output band, polarity invert and phase adjust on each band, overall and band-specific delay, and 60 user memories. The front panel graphic display shows all function parameters and LED output metering.
JBL VERTEC SERIES
January 2005—JBL's VerTec Series encompasses six models: the VT4887, VT4888 and VT4889 three-way systems; and the VT4880, VT4881 and VT4882 subwoofers. The compact VT4887 houses two 8-inch woofers, four 4-inch midrange radiators and two high-frequency compression drivers. The midsize VT4888 houses two 12-inch woofers, four 5.5-inch midrange radiators and two high-frequency compression drivers. The large-format VT4889 houses two 15-inch woofers, four 8-inch midrange radiators and three high-frequency compression drivers. These three-way models utilize a wedge frustum, 5° side-angle design. The VT4880 full-sized subwoofer houses two 18-inch woofers, and the new midsized VT4882 subwoofer holds a pair of 15-inch woofers. Finally, the VT4881 compact subwoofer houses a long-extension 15-inch woofer. All systems feature JBL's Differential Drive
JBL SRX700 SERIES
November 2004—Comprising seven system configurations, the SRX700 Series offers an unprecedented combination of advanced audio technologies. Compared to previous and competitive products, many SRX700 models actually weigh 30% to 50% less — yet without any loss of power or performance. The result is a mid-sized portable P.A. system that brings a new level of convenience to the user while improving the high level of sound quality for which JBL has long been known. JBL JRX115, JRX112M
May 2004—JBL Pro's JRX115 and JRX112M (doubles as monitor) two-way speakers with 12- or 15-inch woofers have unique dual-angle pole sockets for vertical or -10° downward aiming. Also new are dual-15 JRX1215 and two (passive or powered) 18-inch sub boxes. Non-hardware installation versions, JRX112Mi and JRX115i, are also offered.
JBL PROFESSIONAL DSC260
January 2004—JBL Professional has given new life to its DSC260,
upgrading it to 24 bits for higher dynamic range, adding new 2-stage
limiters and renaming it the DSC260A. The 260 has been employed by more
than a dozen other speaker manufacturers as a dedicated OEM system
processor, and this will continue to be a widely used product.
JBL SFI INSTALLATION LINE
October 2003—JBL Pro's SoundFactor Install (SFi) speakers have new installation versions: The SF12Mi and SF15i have the same value/performance as their ground-bound counterparts. Each has three M10 threaded suspension points and are supplied with three forged, shouldered eyebolts. Both models have two suspension points on top; the SF15i has a pullback point on the lower rear panel, while the SF12Mi's pullback point is on the bottom panel. The handles, pole-mount socket and feet are removed for a clean look.
JBL VT4887
July 2003—JBL's VT4887 is a smaller version of its
original large-format VerTec based around dual-12s instead of 15s, and
using the same type of pinned hinge bars for rigging. JBL's smallest
VerTec, the VT4888, is a bi-amp, three-way, dual-8 enclosure whose
quad-4s are passively crossed over to dual- 2407 ring radiators. The
VT4881 is its companion single-15 subwoofer. All three of JBL's VerTec
Line Array elements can be self-powered by the addition of a
Crown-manufactured Drive-Pack.
JBL SOUNDFACTOR
April 2003—JBL's Soundfactor™ line brings JBL performance to new levels of affordability, with the $379 SF15 (15-inch, two-way) and $499 SF25 (dual-15, two-way) FOH cabinets, and a complementary 12-inch, two-way stage wedge.
JBL VERTEC VT4887 & VT4881
October 2002—One of three new VerTec products designed to be compatible with the VT4889, the VT4887 is a dual 8-inch system weighing only 68 lbs., including rigging. It measures 31x11x16.5 inches. An optional companion VT4881 compact 15-inch subwoofer has a 19-160Hz response and can be ground-stacked or suspended. Like other new VerTec system products, the VT4887 and VT4881 are pre-engineered to receive JBL's upcoming Drive Pack technology as a future optional upgrade for onboard amplification. Pricing: TBA.
JBL VERTEC VT4888
October 2002—The VT4888 dual-12-inch midsize modular line array element measures 39x14x20 inches, weighs only 98 lbs., and has applications in theater, performing arts centers, churches, conferences, corporate business meetings and media support. Frequency response ranges from 48 to 18k Hz. The VT4888 is pre-engineered to receive JBL's upcoming Drive Pack technology as a future optional upgrade for onboard amplification.
JBL MPRO
May 2001—JBL launched its MPro lines of two-way speakers with optional passive and active subwoofers — the latter has internal amps and signal processing built by Crown Audio. The full-range models feature molded front baffles that integrate horn, ports and woofer mounting. The MPro Series 200 includes the MP215 (with 70°×70° horn, 1-inch HF driver and 15-inch woofer) and the MPro MP255S dual-15 sub in an innovative bandpass box. The first MPro Series 400 models are the MPro MP410 10-inch, two-system, and the MPro MP418, a powered, single-18, bass-reflex sub — all with a Duralex finish.
