MARTIN AUDIO LE MONITOR SERIES
July 2006—Martin Audio's (www.martin-audio.com) LE monitors feature smooth cabinets with rear curves of pressed/machined beech laminate and a hardwood front rail for a rigid, tough and acoustically neutral design, with left- and right-handed versions available for use in pairs. Optimized for use with Martin's DX1 controller, which provides crossover, limiting and EQ functions, the monitors can also be operated in passive mode without a controller. The top-end LE2100 is a three-way bi-amp — only, differential dispersion monitor, offering a low profile and high power from its dual 12-inch woofers, 6.5-inch midrange and a 1-inch compression driver mounted on a differential dispersion horn. The compact LE1500 is a high-output design, with a 15-inch LF driver and 1.4-inch compression driver. The ultracompact LE1200 has a 12-inch woofer and 1.4-inch compression driver.

All feature reflex-loaded compact cabinet designs with deep, fast bass; improved excursion control and linearity; recessed NL4 Speakons and barrier strip terminals; easy installation through recessed handles and multiple flying points; and highly durable cabinets in Baltic plywood with SafeCoat coating for optimal cabinet strength. March 2005—The AQ Series from Martin Audio comprises six full-range enclosures ranging from the ultra-compact dual 5-inch ICT™ AQ5 to the high-power AQ15 (400W. 15-inch woofer/high-efficiency HF compression driver). AQ Series products may be used individually, in multiples or distributed, depending on the application. The line is complemented by four subwoofers from a compact single-12 to the high-power, dual-15 AQ215. An AQX controller provides user-selectable active crossover, limiter and trim functions from a single-rackspace chassis.

November 2003—Martin Audio's W8LM 53-pound, three-way, bi-amp or passive mini line array, employing two reflex-loaded 8-inch speakers, one direct-radiating and lowpassed at 300 Hz;the other employing a phase plug to reproduce up to 2.2 kHz. It also uses dual 1-inch horn elements, and 12-ohm impedance allows up to four cabinets per amp channel.

May 2003—The Martin W8LC three-way, all-horn-loaded, compact line array combines a 12, two 6.5-inch mids and three 1-inch drivers ($ 4,995 list). Though not horizontally symmetrical, the individual horn loading of the W8LC's three sections provide extremely smooth frequency response.
