MC2 AUDIO E475 POWER AMP
July 2006—MC2 Audio (dist. by Group One, www.g1limited.com) expands its lightweight switch-mode E Series with the new E475 power amp. Ideal for stage monitoring use, this 4-channel amp produces 750W RMS per channel into 4 or 8 ohms. Inputs are via four XLRs, which are linkable to the next channel via a rear panel switch for greater flexibility in supplying speakers with the same input signal. Each channel has a separate Speakon output, but channels C and D are also routed through the second set of Speakon pins on channels A and B. This gives the user the option of running two separate bi-amped wedges from one amp. The E475 also fits front-of-house applications running small, distributed systems or mid/high sections of larger-scale systems. All E Series amps are two-rackspace designs and carry a five-year warranty.

MC2 MC1250
January 2006—The MC1250 from MC2 Audio is a stereo unit offering 1,250W/side into 4 ohms or 3,600W mono bridged. The three-rackspace unit features complementary Class-A/B bipolar outputs, with a unique floating drive stage. Its load, temperature and operating parameters are continually monitored; in case of overheating, the power supply reduces to a safe level, protecting the unit without shutdown. Balanced XLR inputs with parallel output connectors are standard, as are binding post outputs; a 24dB/octave crossover card option is available. Other features include quiet variable-speed fans, a user-selectable clip limiter, dual peak meters, independent/stereo-linkable level controls and a 9-pin D-sub connector for full bidirectional control via RS-485.

MC2 AUDIO SHIPS E45
October 2005—The E45, rated at 2,250W/channel into 4 ohms, is built in a 2U chassis and has a switch-mode power supply capable of delivering high peaks without any perceptible bass sag at very low distortion, and is kept within its safe operating area by an intelligent limiter. Power is delivered over the entire audio bandwidth, making it ideal for driving high-power P.A. systems including subwoofers, packing high power into a compact size.

MC2 AUDIO E45 AMP
November 2004—Following the highly successful launch of its E Series of lightweight, switch-mode power amps last year, MC2 Audio now offers the long-awaited flagship, E45. Rated at 2,250W/channel (@ 4 ohms), the stereo E45 features 6,400W in bridged mono, internal low-distortion speaker-protection limiters and light weight (24.2 pounds) — all a rugged two-rackspace aluminum chassis.

MC2 AUDIO EXPANDS E-SERIES
June 2004—Following the successful intro of the E25 and E15 amps last year, MC2 Audio debuts the E45, the third in its E Series of lightweight, touring/rental amps. The E45 is built into a two-rackspace chassis and uses a switch-mode architecture to bring this 2,250-watt/channel (at 4 ohms) amp to 24 pounds, yet it retains the sonic qualities and reliability of the MC and T Series amps but without the physical weight. Features include low-distortion speaker-protection limiters with adjustable threshold points, optional 24dB/octave Linkwitz-Riley crossover cards, a five-year warranty, and full DC, short-circuit and thermal protection.
