July 2005—MIPRO's (www.avlex.com) MM-707P ($100) is a hypercardioid condenser designed to minimize background noise. The MM-707P features high sensitivity and wide dynamic range with extremely low handling noise, and may be powered using 12 to 48V DC phantom. Frequency response is 50 to 18k Hz with a max. SPL of >148 dB.
