PEAVEY VERSARRAY
March 2006—VersArray marks Peavey's debut into the high-end line array market. The VersArray 112 line array puts a Black Widow 12-inch neodymium woofer and a waveguide with dual 4.75-inch ribbon tweeters in a 13-ply Baltic birch enclosure for modular coverage in small- to medium-sized venues. Bracket-and-pin flying hardware allows full top box articulation in 2.5-degree increments for a classic straight-line array or various angling configurations. Other mounting options include a pole for the VersArray 118 subwoofer that supports a two-box array, a ground-stacking kit for the 218 sub that handles up to four modules with full articulation, and a crankable tower lift to elevate up to six modules 13 feet.

July 2005—Peavey's PVM 22 Diamond Series™ ($199) is a dynamic microphone incorporating a neodymium iron-boron magnet for increased sensitivity. A cardioid pickup pattern provides 20 dB of front-to-back rejection, and a diamond-coated diaphragm delivers extended frequency response and quick transient response. Frequency response is 50 to 16k Hz with a max. SPL of 140 dB; impedance is 400 ohms.
PEAVEY PVM 480
July 2005—The PVM 480 ($329.99) from Peavey is a pre-polarized electret condenser mic using a supercardioid polar pattern. The PVM 480, featuring a high ratio of front-to-back rejection and an extended frequency response, is finished in black powder-coat and may be phantom-powered from any source providing 9 to 52V DC. Frequency response is 40 to 20k Hz with a max. SPL of 128 dB.

March 2005—Unveiled at Winter NAMM, Peavey debuted six newly redesigned CS Series power amps: the CS 1400, CS 2000, CS 3000, CS 4000 and CS 4080 HZ (all dual-channel), plus the 4-channel CS 800×4. Building on the reputation of Peavey's renowned CS 800, the new series features DDT® compression/anti-clipping protection, two-rackspace designs and up to 4,080 watts. Protection circuits guard against shorts, improper loads, abrupt turn-on levels, high temperatures, DC and subsonic frequencies. Also standard are active temperature-controlled fans, XLR/1/4-inch Combo inputs, binding post and Speakon outputs, and a five-year warranty.

November 2004—NION (pronounced like neon), the Networkable Input Output Node is a programmable digital audio processing node designed for pro commercial audio. NION's internal processing core supports MediaMatrix's scalable I/O architecture, a modular I/O scheme with optional plug-in cards for maximum versatility and four module bays for 32 simultaneous analog channels, while the a CobraNet port provides another 64 channels for a total of 96. NION's new embedded Linux architecture offers efficient and robust performance. A new 512-channel digital audio bus allows seamless stacking and redundant, self-healing configurations. Software support includes a new Windows-based interface that works with multiple nodes across an Ethernet network.

November 2004—The ICS 4200 4-channel commercial power amp is designed for permanent installs and features four independent, 200-watt channels in a compact, fan-cooled two-rackspace package. The ICS 4200 can supply maximum output power to both low-impedance (4 and 8 ohms) and high-impedance (70V) loads simultaneously in single-channel or 2-channel pairs, or the ICS 4200 can be configured for bridged operation. An SPS™ loudspeaker protection circuit and an integral 60Hz highpass filter provide protection in even the most severe applications.

September 2004—Peavey raised the curtain on its Dual FX Delta Unit, which can operate in series/parallel/mono/summed-mono modes. The single-rackspace unit features easy editing and 16 programmable effects: multiple reverbs and delays, compressor, pitch shifter, chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, rotary speaker, distortion, exciter and vocal eliminator.

July 2004—Peavey boasts that its MediaMatrix division offers systems designed to replace outdated “conventional wisdom” systems. Racks of outboard processors, equalizers, crossovers, routers and mixers are replaced by a PC-based cardframe, loaded with Peavey's MM-DSP Series of audio processing cards and software, and are controllable from any location. In its smallest form, MediaMatrix exists as a rackmount audio processor; at a much larger size, it can be a complex router, processor and distributor for many audio transports, including audio via Ethernet networks. The MediaMatrix X-Frame 88 and MM-8802 audio breakout box is of special interest to those looking to use remote-control preamplification. The X-Frame 88 is a single-rackspace, 8-input/8-output digital audio processing system that is expandable to 24×24 I/O with the addition of two MM-8802s. Features include digital control of all I/O levels, remote control via RS-485, 24-bit quantization and 32, 44.1 and 48kHz software-selectable sample rates.

October 2003—The new CAB 4n is a CobraNet audio bridge featuring MediaMatrix's new scalable I/O architecture, with support for the popular line of MediaMatrix I/O modules (up to four modules configurable for 16×0, 0×16, 12×4, 4×12 or 8×8 operation, IxO). All inputs can be configured in groups of four channels for microphone or line-level in any of the available configurations. The CAB 4n also supports the new MM AEC4 acoustic echo-cancellation card in any of the configurations.

October 2003—The X-Bridge provides a seamless link between the CobraNet digital audio network and the X-Frame 88's digital audio “link” connectors. With the X-Bridge, up to four simultaneous CobraNet audio bundles appear within the XWare software as two sets of 8-channel inputs and outputs. System configuration possibilities include interfacing with larger, frame-based MediaMatrix systems, stand-alone CobraNet operation using the popular CAB Series breakout boxes, or peer-to-peer systems where long-distance audio transport is required.

PEAVEY CLUB MIX
October 2002—Peavey's $699.99 Club Mix is a 4-channel, 8-input DJ mixer. The innovative Cue section allows monitoring of effects or samples in the headphones from any of the inputs before sending them to the house. The A/B Compare switch allows a visual comparison of signals assigned to each side of the crossfader. A "Phat" EQ control reduces mid-frequencies and boosts bass and highs. The mixer's paint and knobs react to blacklight.

October 2002—New from Peavey's MediaMatrix division, the Octopower 850 is a multichannel power amp featuring nine bridgeable 50-watt channels, with rear panel connections and forced-air cooling. Also included is a powerful Fault Contact feature that uses high-current Form "C" contacts for switching loudspeaker-level audio to build basic redundancy into the system, or interfacing to external alarm and supervisory systems.
