Available for every R-H powered speaker, RHAON (pronounced "rayon") provides network control, digital audio distribution, DSP and system monitoring via standard Ethernet hardware. Using the CobraNet standard for digital audio distribution, RHAON allows 64 channels of 24-bit audio at up to 96 kHz. RHAON speakers have onboard DSP for crossover, parametric EQ, driver alignment and overdrive protection and RHAON PC software, which features drag-and-drop signal routing/network management.
RENKUS-HEINZ ICONYX IC7 SERIES
October 2006—Renkus-Heinz introduces the IC7 self-powered and ICX7 non-powered Iconyx array systems at AES. Based on the Iconyx Digitally Steerable Arrays, the IC7 and ICX7 are passive arrays with mechanically steerable fixed beams. Both feature seven high-performance, 4-inch coaxial transducers in an architecturally transparent enclosure that's only 44-3/8x5-11/16x4-3/8 inches (HxWxD). These are perfect for venues needing side and front fill, or a low cost short-throw solution.
RENKUS-HEINZ CF/CFX SERIES
September 2006—Offered in powered (CF) or passive (CFX) versions, the new CF/CFX Series from Renkus-Heinz brings R-H performance to a lower price point. Powered models use the company's PF-1 Intelligent Digital Amplifier. Using simpler cabinet designs and offering fewer options to achieve cost efficiency, the series has four trapezoidal, two-way full-range cabinets with HF compression drivers on rotatable Complex Conic horns: the CF/CFX61 (6-inch LF and 150×60-degree horn), CF/CFX81 (8-inch LF with 150×60-degree horn), CF/CFX121 (12-inch LF and 90×60-degree horn) and CF/CFX151 (15-inch woofer and 90×40-degree horn). A two-way CF/CFX121M 12-inch woofer slant monitor is available, as is the CF/CFX18S single-18 direct-radiating subwoofer. Multipurpose hardware (such as handles, pole sockets and six-point universal mounts) makes the line adaptable for portable or fixed installs.
RENKUS-HEINZ ICONYX
March 2006—Already in use in various venues worldwide, Renkus-Heinz showed its Iconyx digitally steerable array. Versatile and musical, systems are based on a number of powered 8-channel “stick” modules (each about 4 feet long), which can be combined to form tall columns for greater “reach” and used as is or with optional subwoofers. R-H’s BeamWare software can tweak the vertical pattern (symmetrical, asymmetrical, dual or custom) and aiming angle. A slick, hinged wallmount simplifies installs and gives precise horizontal control.
RENKUS-HEINZ CF/CFX
January 2006—The CF/CFX loudspeaker series from Renkus Heinz is aimed at both portable and installed applications. The self-powered CF Series incorporates the company's new PF-1 Intelligent digital amplifier, while the CFX Series is designed for use with external processors and amplifiers. The CF/CFX Series brings the benefits of Renkus-Heinz innovations to a lower price point, using high-end components within simpler cabinet designs.
RENKUS-HEINZ ICONYX
December 2005—The ICONYX Series of digitally controlled column loudspeakers from Renkus-Heinz uses advanced technology to provide intelligible speech and musical sound in highly reverberant environments. Their slender “thin-stick” vertical profile mounts flat to the wall, blending easily with both classical and contemporary architecture. Systems are available in 8, 16, 24 and 32-channel sizes to suit different needs. All are constructed from the basic IC8 8-channel module to simplify shipping and transportation. Modules easily join in the field to form larger systems. Advanced DSP software and digital amplification enable the user to define the shape and aim of the vertical beam without moving the columns from their installed position.
RENKUS-HEINZ DCC SERIES
October 2005—DCC Series digitally controlled column loudspeakers use advanced technology to provide intelligible speech and musical sound in highly reverberant environments. Their slender “thin-stick” vertical profile mounts flat to the wall and blends easily with architecture. The integrated technology provides a powerful new solution for consultants, contractors and architects requiring precisely controlled acoustic energy for both intelligible and musical sound.
RENKUS-HEINZ CF/CFX SERIES
October 2005—The CF/CFX Series of high-value/high-performance loudspeakers is aimed at both portable and installed applications. The self-powered CF Series incorporates the company’s new PF-1 Intelligent digital amplifier, while the CFX Series is designed for use with external processors and amplifiers. The CF/CFX Series brings the benefits of Renkus-Heinz innovations to a lower price point, using the finest components and materials within simpler cabinet designs.
RENKUS-HEINZ EASERA
February 2005—Renkus-Heinz is shipping EASERA®, the Electronic & Acoustic System Evaluation and Response Analyzer. Requiring only a laptop PC and a decent-quality sound card, EASERA provides audio test/measurement tools such as MLS, TDS and dual-FFT. The standard 48kHz EASERA is 2-channel; EASERA PRO allows up to 32 simultaneous I/Os at up to 192 kHz. An optional TEF/TDS module developed with Gold Line requires a TEF-USB AD/DA converter/preamp. EASERA can be used with any mic (some advanced functions require a calibrated mic) and supports all current sound cards. Functions and measurements include “waterfall” energy time curves, impulse response, STI, %ALCONS, direct and total SPL, RMS, crest factor, distortion and more. EASERA exports data in a variety of formats such as .WAV, EASE, TEF and MLSSA. EASERA editing features include user-defined filters and windows, addition/division/merging/cutting files, smoothing, averaging, integrating and differentiating. Measurements can be weighted/displayed on logarithmic or linear scales in a range of resolutions.
RENKUS-HEINZ PN102/LA, PNX102/LA
January 2005—Employing a two-point suspension system for easy assembly, the PN102/LA and PNX102/LA enclosures from Renkus-Heinz share the same components, with the PN102/LA being self-powered. Both models provide 150° horizontal dispersion and have a frequency response of 50 to 18k Hz. These enclosures use two 1-inch exit HF drivers and two 10-inch woofers for the LF. The crossover point of these two-way systems is 1 kHz. The PN102/LA uses the company's PN-1 PowerNet amplifier rated at 300W RMS. STLA and STXLA line array modules are based on the company's CDT1.5 high-output CoEntrant driver with a 6.5-inch carbon-fiber cone for the mids and a neodymium HF driver with a 2.5-inch voice coil and titanium diaphragm. The enclosures use dual 12-inch woofers for the LF section. The STLA and STXLA provide 90° horizontal dispersion. Their frequency response is 45 to 18k Hz with crossover points of 500 kHz and 2,500 kHz. Renkus-Heinz line array systems include the company's AimWare software design tool.
RENKUS-HEINZ LA/9
May 2004—Renkus-Heinz's new three-way LA/9 line array with a self-powered option offers a co-entrant mid-high waveguide with path length equalization technology. It is centered between dual-12s, employing 6.5-inch carbon-fiber cones and neodymium HF drivers with a 2.5-inch voice coil.
RENKUS-HEINZ PNX 102/LA
July 2003—Renkus-Heinz's new PNX 102/LA is a two-way
enclosure with dual-10s and dual 1-inch exit compression drivers that
boasts 150° dispersion with no horn-loading. It can also be
ordered as the self-powered PN 102/LA enclosure, which has an R-Control
supervision network and weighs an additional 10 pounds.
RENKUS-HEINZ PNX-102
May 2003—Renkus-Heinz' PNX-102 compact line array module houses dual 10s with dual 1-inch compression drivers exiting from a vertical slot between them. Each 72-pound module is a foot high by 2-feet-wide ($2,499 list).
