SABINE PHANTOM MIC RIDER
March 2007—Sabine (www.sabine.com) floored us with its Phantom Mic Rider. Barely larger than an XLR connector, it packs an FBX Feedback Exterminator, automatic gain adjust, control of proximity effect and plosives and infrared mic gating—all in a phantom-powered $119 inline accessory.
SABINE SWM7000 SERIES
November 2006—Sabine's true-diversity SWM7000 Series ($1,299.99 single-channel, $2,099.99 dual-channel) operates in the 2.4 to 2.483GHz ISM band, which grants access to the same 70 preprogrammed channels simultaneously. Sabine's Smart Spectrum system combines spread-spectrum filtering with a variation of FM technology for a more interference-resistant system with more simultaneous channels. Each system includes FBX Feedback Exterminator, parametric filters, Mic SuperModeling, a compressor/limiter and adaptive de-esser. The rackmount SW2-NDR receiver has two rear-mounted coaxial dipole antennae. SW70 Series handhelds use Audix OM3 or OM5 dynamic capsules or a Voice Technologies condenser. Accessories include rackmount antenna distribution for up to six receivers and a low-profile extension antenna for unobtrusive wall-mounting. Transmitter functions can be controlled from the receiver, the included Windows remote-control software, from Crestron or AMX touchscreens or any serial-based controllers. Sabine rechargeable batteries offer nine hours per charge, or the transmitter can operate for 15 hours on two AA alkaline cells.
SABINE NAVIGATOR "-EN" SERIES
October 2006—Sabine's new Navigators are complete multi-input/output digital system processors with full loudspeaker management, matrix mixing, and signal routing capabilities. The -EN versions allow for remote control from anywhere via Ethernet, and up to 16 units can be controlled simultaneously. Superior sound quality, unlimited DSP power, built-in FBX Feedback Exterminator, front panel or software control, and a great price make the Navigators an easy choice. 3x6, 4x8, and 8x8 configurations are available.
SABINE SW70-H1 SERIES HANDHELDS
November 2004—Sabine has enhanced the performance of its 2.4GHz wireless systems with new handheld transmitters, new lavalier and headworn mics, software and firmware improvements and a new FBX Feedback Exterminator™ algorithm. The new SW70-H1 handhelds are 30% lighter (using two AA instead of a C battery), a larger LCD viewing area and expanded dynamic range. The SW70-H13 has the Audix OM3 capsule; the SW70-H15 uses the OM5. Designed by Audio-Technica, the SWT31L-TA4 cardioid lavalier mic and the SWT73W-TA cardioid headworn mic have a warm sound and excellent gain before feedback.
SABINE FEEDBACK EXTERMINATOR UPDATE
November 2004—Since Sabine first invented digital feedback control in 1991, FBX Feedback Exterminators have set the standard for transparent and reliable automatic feedback control. Now, Sabine announces the next generation of automatic feedback controllers: the FBX1200 and FBX2400, now with SMARTFilter™ technology. Retail: $499.95.
SABINE SWM7000
October 2003—True-diversity 2.4GHz Smart Spectrum™ technology allows 70 units to operate within a single location at globally accepted, 2.4GHz band — clear of new DTV frequencies. SWM7000 is available in 1- and 2-channel models, includes FBX Feedback Exterminator®, compressor/limiter, intelligent de-esser, Mic SuperModeling™ (digital mic capsule emulation) and Tireless Wireless™ (extended battery-life circuit, re-chargeable NiMH batteries, charge inputs on all transmitters). Handheld mic clip is also charger stand. Systems available with handheld, lavalier or headworn microphones.
SABINE SMW-5000 SERIES
July 2002—Sabine has significantly upgraded its top-of-the-line True-Mobility Wireless Series with the new 2.4GHz Spread-Spectrum SMW-5000 Series ($2,299.99 for Combo System with a 2-channel receiver and Audix OM3 handheld and Sabine lavalier mic transmitters). The 2.4 comes with Sabine's FBX Feedback Exterminator, compressor/limiter, de-esser and microphone-modeling DSP, remote control of up to 50 systems via PC and access to 50 available local television channels. The sleek front panel of the 1U rackmounted SWM-502R diversity receiver includes dual signal, battery, audio and locked channel meters, and provides controls over mic modeling, compression, de-esser, and channel and program selection. The system uses rechargeable NiMH C and AA batteries for both handheld and beltpack transmitters.
SABINE TRUE MOBILITY
May 2001—Sabine's new True Mobility 2.4GHz spread spectrum wireless systems operate in a trouble-free RF band that is internationally accepted, and up to 50 systems can operate at once. Onboard SHARC-based processing offers mic capsule SuperModeling, automatic de-essing, compression, 10 FBX feedback filters, 10 user presets and an optional network interface with AES digital output. Available with single- and dual-channel receivers, and a companion-active, antenna-distribution amp supports 12 channels.
