SYMETRIX SYMNET DESIGNER 7
September 2006—The latest update to Symetrix' SymNet Network Audio DSP platform, the SymNet Designer application Version 7 for Windows is available for download at www.symnetaudio.com. Among its new loudspeaker-management and room-optimization modules are parametric EQ, high/lowpass filtering, delay, gain, invert and mute functions. The modules are offered in standard and Smaart™-compatible versions, the latter directly controlled from SIA Software's SmaartLive RTA software. Other enhancements include DTMF generator/auto-dialer modules for teleconferencing, third-party Ethernet Control of all SymNet functions, simplified workflows and more. 

















SYMETRIX EXPRESS SERIES
January 2005— Symetrix SymNet Express Series features seven models: Express 12×4, 4×12 and 8×8; and Express Cobra 12×4, 4×12, 8×8 and 4×4. The Express line is geared toward stand-alone applications in which a single unit handles all processing between source gear and the amplifiers. Along with analog I/O, Express Cobra offers an 8×8 CobraNet license that supports Peak Audio's protocol for networked digital audio. All of the dual 100MHz SHARC-based processing units are driven by SymNet Designer's latest V. 5 software, providing many options for system creation and control, and new software features such as additional mixers, auto firmware upgrade and a British EQ module.

















SYMETRIX SYMNET DESIGNER 3.5 UPGRADE
October 2003—A free upgrade, SymNet Designer 3.5 is backward-compatible with all existing SymNet Audio Matrix hardware. Among the requested features included in this upgrade are DSP latency compensation, volume ramp-up after download, three different graphic EQ processors, improvements to the compressor/limiters and parametric EQs, and more graphic control when making user-designed control screens. Also added are optimizations to make the system run more efficiently when multiple control screens are added to a design.
