TOA ELECTRONICS 5000 SERIES SYSTEM
November 2006—TOA Electronics (www.toaelectronics.com) recently expanded its lineup with the 5000 Series system, which operates in the 692 to 722MHz band. Up to 16 systems can be operated at once. The WM-5220 ($292) handheld condenser is powered by a single AA battery for 10 hours of operation. Receiver models include the WT-5800 ($628) true-diversity 64-channel wireless tuner, WT-5805 ($482) space-diversity 64-channel wireless tuner and the portable WT-5810 ($384) space-diversity 16-channel wireless tuner. All 5000 Series receivers feature a frequency-scanning function and transmitter battery-status indicator.
TOA LINE ARRAYS
August 2005—Intended for fixed installs are the new SR-A Mid Line Arrays and the SR-S Slim Line Arrays from TOA Electronics. The SR-A Series feature TOA's Nexus Control Drive horn technology for a uniform, HF soundfield. The SR-A12L (long-throw) and the SR-A12S (short-throw) mid/high boxes have dual-compression drivers and two 12-inch LF drivers; the SR-A18 subwoofer adds an 18-inch woofer with 740W handling. The SR-S4L and the SR-S4S compact line arrays each have eight 4-inch cone drivers and 24 1-inch dome tweeters, all aligned to form a continuous linear sound source. Weather-resistant models and multiple hardware mounting options are also available.
TOA D-901 DIGITAL MIXER
November 2004—The D-901 digital mixer is the ideal solution for a wide variety of installed sound applications including A/V, houses of worship and many others. The D-901's modular design supports up to 12 mic/line inputs and eight line outputs with flexible RS-232 or contact-closure remote control. Audio processing tools include auto-mixing, feedback suppression, multiband parametric filters, compressors, limiters, noise gates, crossovers, delays and more. Full input-to-output matrixing allows users to store and recall any input to output combination for multi-zone or room-combining applications. Retail: $2,190.
TOA PASSWORD SERIES UHF WIRELESS
July 2002—A password is all that you will need to get 64 user-selectable UHF channels (690 through 722 MHz), dual built-in switching antennas and operation of up to 16 simultaneous systems. TOA's Password Series UHF Wireless ($1,600) is designed for A/V rental companies, boardrooms, schools, fitness clubs, hotels and houses of worship. The Password Series includes the company's WT-4800 true-diversity receiver with onboard interference scanner and dual squelch protection (noise and tone-key), a diversity antenna distributor and the YW-450 powered dipole antenna. Also included are WM-4200 dynamic handheld and WM-4300 bodypack lapel microphone/transmitters. Password Series mics will operate continuously for up to 10 hours on one 9-volt battery. The system is covered by a new five-year warranty for all of TOA's commercial and engineered sound products.
