XTA ELECTRONICS DP 4 SERIES
October 2006—The DP424 (2x4), DP444 (4x4), the DP446 (4x6) and 4x8 DP448 feature 28-band graphic EQ, eight filters and built-in delay. Outputs have polarity switching, high/low pass filtering, delay, up to nine filters and I/Os phase-adjust in 2-degree steps. The crossover offers Bessel/Butterworth/Linkwitz-Reilly filters and up to 48dB/octave roll-off. RMS and Clip/D-max limiters have look-ahead clip limiter attack time. Internal sample rates are up to 96kHz, with external 192 kHz support. AES/EBU inputs are standard. www.xta.co.uk
XTA EXPANDS DP4 LINE
July 2006—XTA offers new I/O configurations based on its DP428/DP448 audio management systems. The series offers two or four inputs, with up to eight outs, and comprises the DP424 (2-in, 4-out), DP444 (4×4), the 4×6 DP446 and the 4×8 DP448, formerly known as the DP428. Each has a 28-band graphic EQ, eight filters, built-in delay and multiple 48dB crossover slopes. All outputs feature polarity switching, HP/LP filters, delay and up to nine filters. Any input can be routed to any combination of outs, and I/Os are phase-adjustable in 2-degree steps. The crossover offers Bessel, Butterworth and Linkwitz-Reilly selections in 6/12/18/24/48dB-per-octave slopes. Two-stage RMS and Clip/D-max limiters are available, with look-ahead for the clip limiter attack time. The series supports internal sample rates up to 96 kHz and external sample rates to 192 kHz. Options include AudioCore PC remote software for controlling one or 128 DP4 Series processors and a Walkabout Kit for wireless system tuning from anywhere in the venue.
XTA DPR428
May 2005—XTA's DP428 is a 4x8 DSP matrix with eight input filters, 28-band graphic EQ, nine output filters, dual-stage limiters and 96kHz AES digital I/O, all in a single rackspace. New AudioCore software features “shadowing” of the selected filter along with the composite curve display. Priced the same as a pair of 224s, the DP428's memory is compatible with earlier presets.
XTA AES DIGITAL INTERFACE
January 2005— XTA's new AES digital interface option can be fitted to the DP6i audio installation controller, DP224 and DP226 speaker management systems, SiDD, all Series 2 products and all OEM units. The interface includes a sample rate converter accepting AES audio streams up to 96 kHz and down to 32 kHz, and comes fitted with digital I/O. Internal processing of the XTA units remains at 48 kHz. Also new from XTA is free, downloadable software for wireless interface control for the range of the company's AudioCore products. The upgrade allows up to 32 units to be controlled via PC using MIDI, RS-232 or RS-485 interfaces.
XTA DP226
January 2004—The DP226 from XTA is an industry benchmark processor that's also been spun off into OEM
versions for several speaker manufacturers, while being the processor
of choice for others. Available with optional AES digital inputs
and outputs, it's controllable from its AudioCore software and
Smaart. Connections for RS-485, RS-232 and MIDI are standard. A front
panel card slot provides convenient PCMCIA storage and backup of
settings. A similar model — the DP 224 — has four
outputs.
XTA DP6I
January 2004—XTA's new DP6i has the same circuitry as its 226, but with a
stripped-down front panel at a fraction of the cost. Parameters are not
front panel-adjustable, but all of the rear panel connectivity of the
226 has been retained. Instead, there are four front panel push buttons
for recalling four presets. An internal switch puts the unit into Safe
mode where all front panel controls are disabled.
XTA DP6I CONTROLLER
October 2003—The DP6i Audio Installation Controller from XTA is a 2-in/6-out unit. Both inputs have an 8-band parametric EQ, base delay and gain control; all outputs feature crossover filters, 5-band parametric EQ, HF/LF shelving filters, limiter and delay. Four memory buttons store different system setups with fast switching between them, and panel lockout is provided. Centralized control of up to 32 DP6i units is available using XTA's AudioCore Windows software.
XTA DP6I AUDIO INSTALLATION CONTROLLER
May 2003—XTA offers 30% savings on its new DP6i Audio Installation Controller over the DPA-226 processor that it’s based on. Without most of the 226’s front-panel controls, it’s intended to be programmed and controlled via XTA’s AudioCore software. The 226’s usual knobs, switches and meters are replaced with a single mute-all button and four more buttons to allow front-panel recall of the first four presets.
