KS DIGITAL LINE-MASTER
May 2006—Based on its $49,000/pair ADM Zero monitors, KS Digital's (www.ksdigital.de) Line-Master is a column array designed for far-field mastering/critical-listening applications. Line-Masters feature FIRTEC digital room EQ, digital and analog inputs, 650W tri-amping and a slot waveguide for smooth HF performance.
KS DIGITAL ADM 0
June 2005—The high end just got higher with the KS Digital ADM 0 studio monitors ($49,000/pair). The powered three-way system borrows a page from KS' ADM 1 and ADM 2 studio monitors. The ADM 0 uses the KS Digital Firtec technology, boasting an uncolored response across the full frequency spectrum. Digital processing and a newly designed cylindrical waveguide offer linearity in phase response and amplitude. The 10-inch bass, 8-inch mid and 1-inch tweeter are powered by two 600W amps, and come with AD/DA converters, digital crossover and optional PC software to remotely adjust various parameters for room equalization.
KS DIGITAL ADM 2
June 2005—The ADM 2 ($9,800/pair) from KS is an active, two-way midfield monitor with a frequency range of 38 to 22k Hz (±3 dB) using an 8-inch woofer and a 1-inch HF driver. The ADM 2 supports analog and digital inputs. For digital feeds, the ADM 2 supports the AES3 format with an XLR-symmetric, active bypass connector. The ADM 2 supports sampling rates upward of 96 kHz. Analog connections also use XLR-symmetric, active bypass connectors. Power amplification for the system is rated at 200W and 100W.
KS SYSTEMS ADM ZERO
June 2005—The $49,000/pair ADM Zero from KS Digital combines FIRTEC DSP control and an amazing slot waveguide for wide, smooth response.
KS SYSTEMS ADM 2
December 2003—KS has updated its ADM 2 bi-amplified near-field monitor to 24-bit/96kHz resolution. This monitor sports an 8-inch LF driver and 1-inch HF driver, each provided with 200 watts of amplification; the DSP factors in with the crossover. KS uses FIR algorithms to virtually eliminate any phase difficulties normally associated with IIR or analog crossovers.
KS SYSTEMS 5.1 SYSTEM
October 2002—KS Systems now offers a 5.1 monitoring system with analog and digital inputs, rackmount external amplification and an optional advanced remote/system controller. The system is available either as a complete 5.1 unit or as a stereo/expand-to-surround-later package, featuring a single 12-inch subwoofer and five two-way (6.5-inch woofer/1-inch dome tweeter) ADM 4 satellites with die-cast enclosures and internal video shielding.
KS SYSTEMS ADM 2 SURROUND SYSTEM
December 2001—KS Pro Sound Systems of Germany offers a top-of-the-line surround system comprising five ADM 2 reference monitors, two ADM W subwoofers and a remote-control unit. The ADM 2 ($4,950 each) is a two-way, active studio reference monitor that includes analog and AES-3/EBU digital inputs—the system incorporates a 24-bit digital controller with FIRTEC internal 32-bit floating-point processing. Components include an 8-inch woofer, a 1-inch tweeter and a 200W amp; frequency response is 38 to 20k Hz. The ADM W subwoofer ($3,250 each) features the same analog and digital input connections, and contains two 10-inch speakers and a 400W amp; frequency response is 25 to 100 Hz. Overall system control is via a KS remote-control unit ($295). Both monitors and subs feature quality wood cabinets in gray black finish.
